Top-Rated Engine Cleaning Services in Orange County

A safe and proper way to clean your engine bay

Clean The Engine Bay For a Like-New Condition

It’s no surprise that a lot of the engine bays in Orange County that we service are often overlooked and neglected. It’s easy to wash your car or clean the interior because we see it and in it all the time. But the engine? It’s underneath the hood and you only open it if there’s something you need to check or you’re doing an oil change. Other than that, it stays closed and out of sight.

Our engine bay detailing focuses on safely cleaning the top side of your engine. Not only does this leave your engine bay looking fresh and like-new, but it also helps you identify hose leaks if it arises. It’s hard to see where something is leaking from when the entire engine is covered in dirt and grime.

Please note, we only clean the accessible top portion of the engine. At this time, we’re not able to perform undercarriage cleaning or work beneath the car.

How We Safely Clean The Engine

Here’s a general overview of what our engine cleaning process looks like:

Inspection: We first inspect the engine bay to see if there’s any areas that need special attention while ensuring components like the battery, intake, and alternator are properly covered.

Debris Removal: We next begin by clearing out stuck on debris like branches, leaves, and acorns. You’ll be surprised how much debris gets stuck in there over time.

Spray and Clean: Next, we use our degreasers and brushes to lift and agitate the dirt and grim from the surfaces. We’ll first start with the underhood of the hood and then work our way to the engine bay.

Rinse Away Grime: With gentle water pressure, we carefully rinse off the grime and dirt. We avoid soaking the engine bay or using high pressure. We just need to use enough water to carry the grime off the engine bay. We don’t hold the pressure washer directly to the engine bay and hold it there for minutes at a time.

Wipe down and dry: Next, we’ll grab our blower and dry the engine bay and wipe it down with towels. This gets any standing water or missed areas.

Protect and Shine: On the last step, we finish it by applying a plastic and rubber dressing to the hoses and covers, restoring their look while helping to prevent cracking and fading.

“Do You Use a Lot of Water?”

A concern we see often with engine cleanings is the use of water. And it’s true that if you’re not careful, introducing water to the engine bay could be problematic. So it’s very important to handle it with care.

That’s why  we use minimal water during the cleaning process, focusing only on rinsing what’s necessary. On top of that, we take precautions by covering sensitive areas like the alternator, battery, and intakes to keep them dry. At the end of the detail, we carefully hand-clean those areas for a thorough finish.

In many modern vehicles, engine bays are often covered by large plastic panels, making the cleaning process even safer and more efficient. Your engine is in good hands with us!
